Update

Hello everyone ,

I had the pleasure to go to Texas the week before last to celebrate Stephanie’s husdband’s graduation! He graduated from the San Antonio Police Academy and if you read Stephanie’s blog you already know that he got the top Cadet Award which is the highest honor!!! I was so happy for their family because they all made sacrifices for him to be able to live his dream and it was the perfect ending to his journey!

If any of you have ever been to Texas you know that Texans don’t get big by accident lol OMG the food over there will one day be the death of me. Between BBQ at Dicky’s, Mexican food, Margaritas and Stephanie’s queso it’s a miracle I didn’t come back heavier lol I got to help Steph prepare for Joey’s graduation party (Oh and before you ask , yes we did make that badge on the cake ourselves with fondant!) and the following day I got to chill at home watching Avatar with their boy Taylor. Taylor is this adorable, cuddly and hilarious little boy that you just can’t help but fall in love with.

One of my favorite thing to do while I’m over there is to run outside and workout with Steph! She motivates me and it’s such a nice change of scenery from my gym.

I think the running is the reason why my evaluation with my coach wasn’t such a disaster this morning lol. My bodyfat hasn’t gone up since my last comp and my legs even leaned a bit. I had some bloodwork done after my last show in order to figure out why I was having a hard time leaning. Well when the results came in I was shocked, my cortisol ( stress hormones) were over twice the limits and my insulin level were very low ( ¼ of what it should be) I was sure that oestrogen and thyroid would be off the chart but not at all. The thinking is that the damages done by having a bad diet and overtraining with my previous coach has caused my pancreas to stop producing insulin and that causes my body stress. So we are tweaking my diet and adding some supps that will help with insulin and stress levels. I’m a bit partial to Charles Poliquin’s supplements, they have always worked very well for me.

That’s it for now.

I hope you all have a great day.
